Frequently Asked Questions

Venue

Where is the ceremony and reception?

Our ceremony and reception will all take place at the historic McAdam Railway Station in McAdam, New Brunswick. The address is 96 Saunders Road, McAdam, NB E6J 1L6. Everything will be in one location so there is no need to travel between venues.

How do I get there? Is there parking?

McAdam Railway Station is about a one-hour drive from Fredericton. Most guests will be staying in Fredericton, but we also recommend looking into a local BnB near McAdam if you would like to be closer to the celebration. There is plenty of parking available at the station, so you will be able to drive directly to the venue and park on site.

Is the venue accessible?

Yes, McAdam Railway Station is accessible. The main areas we will be using for the ceremony and reception can be reached without stairs, and there are accessible washrooms available. We value and care deeply about making sure every guest feels welcome and comfortable, so if you have specific accessibility needs or require additional support, please let us know when you RSVP. We will do our very best to ensure your needs are met so you can fully enjoy the celebration.

Guests

Can I bring a guest?

We’d love to be able to invite absolutely everyone, but our guest list is a little cozy. Your invitation is just for you, and we’re so excited to celebrate together with the people closest to us. Thank you for understanding!

Can I bring my kids?

Absolutely yes! We love having kids around and there is always space for them with us. We would be so happy to have them join in the celebration. If enough little conductors are attending, we’ll have some special activities set up to keep their adventure fun throughout the day.

What is the dress code?

Our wedding will be cocktail or semi-formal attire with a vintage chic flair, inspired by the golden age of rail travel and the timeless romance of Victorian-era style, when journeys were an occasion and people dressed with intention and charm. Think flowing dresses, lace or soft fabrics, elegant jumpsuits, dress shirts with slacks, or suits and ties if you’d like to lean classic. You are absolutely welcome to wear a full-length dress if that’s what makes you feel your most magical. While a full formal gown or tuxedo isn’t required, we invite you to dress up a little and feel festive, romantic, and ready to celebrate. We’ve included a colour palette for those who enjoy a little inspiration when choosing an outfit, but it is entirely optional and simply meant as a guide, not a requirement. Please don’t feel any pressure to purchase something new if you’re not in the position to do so. Your presence is what matters most to us. For those who like a little inspiration, we’ve included a guide you can interpret and follow in whatever way feels right to you.

Is there a color palette?

Yes, we do have a wedding color palette, but it is only for décor and details. You do not need to follow it for your outfits unless you would like to. It is completely optional, so please feel free to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and ready to celebrate.

Ceremony & Reception

What Time Should I arrive?

The ceremony begins at 4:00 pm. We recommend arriving 15–20 minutes early to get settled and find your seat so you don’t feel rushed. This way, everyone is ready to celebrate together when the music starts!

Can I take photos?

No photos during the ceremony please. We want everyone to sit back, enjoy the moment, and let our photographer do the work. After the ceremony, the rest of the day is all yours for snapping pictures and capturing memories on the dance floor and beyond.

Will there be vegetarian, vegan, or allergy-friendly meal options?

Yes! We are happy to accommodate dietary restrictions. You will be able to indicate your needs when you RSVP so we can make sure the venue is prepared. We kindly ask that requests be limited to actual dietary restrictions, allergies, or strong dietary preferences so we can plan effectively for everyone. If you have a serious allergy, especially if it is anaphylactic, please let us know when you RSVP and also bring along anything you may need onsite the day of. We will ensure the venue staff are fully aware of your allergies.
